    3.5/2 Sub-driver (3.5", twin-props)

I was looking for pictures and discription of the 3.5/2 SD Kit, for the T-class, on website, but could not find them. Did 'I miss it' or 'Is it Missing'???

*I assume the 3.5/2 SD has a separate battery tube, correct? (connected externally)
    What's it's Length, I assume it's 3.5" diameter?
I'm wondering how large a battery-pack will fit in it?

*Does it have holes in aft bulkhead for 4 servos and snort-pump tubes?
I'm trying to determine how many functions I can install, with 7 channel receiver?
(along with 2 Torpedos, per 1 receiver channel)

The battery WTC is designed for it and will hold two large capacity Lithium-polymer packs. Look at the Caswell site.

The motor bulkhead comes ported for the LPB induction and discharge hoses and has four installed and tested 1/16" pushrod seals.

        I saw a 3" WTC.
Is that what you have included with the 3.5" SD kit?

I don't use Lithium-polymer batteries (Bombs), so need to know other options there.
I would prefer to put a 12.volt Gel-cel in it, if it will fit.
I still need to know it's length also.

I still can't find a discription of what is included with the 3.5/2 SD, on the website ???

Are you guys trying to keep all this Information 'Secret', or what? :D
If so, it sure doesn't help in purchase selections. ;)

          Hey!...

... I'm dancing as fast as I can!

As designed, the WTC-3.5's (now called SubDriver's) were intended to be powered off an external gel-cell battery, so you're good to go in that department. And, no, the WTC-3 battery compartment is not part of the 3.5" package. You buy that little sucker separately.

I'm busy developing a 1.25" diameter SubDriver over the holiday ... that's right: 1.25"!!!!! Going good so far and will be adaptable to just about every plastic model kit out there with a length between 15-25 inches. Film at eleven!

No Hurry....We got plenty of time. :)

            Okay,
So, No battery compartment included or needed (if using a sealed Gel-cel).
Just a little RTV on the battery terminals, correct?
But that means that the On/off switch will need to be mounted on the aft bulkhead with everything else? It's too thick for a switch to mount there, Isn't it?
So, I guess the switch would have to be mounted in the wire and potted up in RTV?
Or do you just seal up one battery-terminal and use the other as a switch?

Wow, 1.25"! That sounds like a Real Challenge. My Cigars are bigger than that! :D

I'm starting to go with Idea that 'Bigger is Better' now, tho. After fighting the 'Too Small for Me' 2.5" Gato SD. :)
I'm more accustomed to dealing with Obsolite-Antique-Technology Anyway. :D
And I'm getting the feeling that the 3.5/2 Fits into that catagory. ;)

I would like to see some better pictures of it, if possible?
Is it like this, except with 2 motors and shafts installed:

That's it, just make up/break a battery terminal.

Yep, I'm starting to get this 'Sink Your Boats' technology wraped around my brain. :D

The 3.5/2 does have 2 motors doesn't it? Or is it just 1 motor geared to 2 prop shafts?

The mod 2 comes with two 12volt motors with independant 3:1 gear reductions.

Since I'm getting that huge 3.5" SD for the T-class, I'm thinking about putting a computer in it and make it automated, robotics style, with sensors monitoring everything. :) With manual RC mode as backup.
                          What do ya think?

There is a special effects guy out of california that has a sub like that. The entire thing is see through plastic so you can see al the functions as it goes. It has a fiberoptic periscope that he can lock on to tagets and the boat wil track them. Cool beans.
