    Transport and Storage Boxes

Inspired by Dave Merriman and Ken Druze, I tried my hand at building some boxes for my upcoming mission to SubFest. I wont bother you with details but save to say I am not a woodworker but I did get to use some long-dormant Junior High wood shop skills and had some fun. The pale, natural finish box is for an Engel 212 and the cherry veneer box fits my Bronco Type 23. I depart from the Masters by using Kaisen foam to grip and suspend the boats within the box. Many of the details are 3D printed examples of gross overkill, such as the handles, vent screens, plaques, and some internal bracing, such as the miter reinforcement inside the lid. I really need to get moving on some actual boats or I will be showing up with empty, albeit cool, boxes!
