I have both this print and the one off CG Trader. This is a beefy print with thick walls… so I scaled it to 125%. I’ve got the bottom hull printed and when my utility company decides to restore power to my neighborhood sometime today, I’ll start the top hull. I’m playing with the possibly of 2 small water pumps for independent steering/propulsion, with a sliding ballast for pitch control. I’m hoping to keep it small so I can toss it in my luggage for Subfest.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

I think the VoodooFX is more "print ready"

          Not necessarily :-)

I think the mass and inertia is apply demonstrated in that video- is the main reason for the jets effectiveness. It great to see it works beautifully. Fascinating question.

Have to remember Cousteau's rationale for the diving saucer. He didn't really look at the Surcoupé as a submarine though granted it obviously is. He wanted a submarine that was very nimble and free to maneuver but in the deeper depths without decompression rules necessary The same freedom of movement he pitched for hs new aqua lung diving equipment he pioneered vs the heavy bulk of a heavy weighted diving suit and helmet David himself has used and operated with the Navy

He accepted the water jets were inefficient happily to be able t make gentle close-up observations (and filming) better fr scientific observation and as a camera platform too. His 1964 'World without Sun' n an Academy Award for best documentary, and the Sur coupé is featured prominently, it allowed the film to be made essentially.

But because the delightful model is so small and tiny, essentially the thrust to weight ration barrowing from et fighter talk makes it wrk very well!

Thank you! I built this as part of a 1/32 scale model of the Calypso and it will be lifted from tho mothership by crane, go on its diving missing and put back on board.

It already has completed dive trials in the "pool" ...
