Unfortunately movie maker doesn't have the ability to burn straight to DVD. Vista and windows 7 have DVD burning software which works seamlessly with movie maker, but I'm not so sure about xp, as I went straight from win 2000 to windows vista then 7.

You have to save the movie then import it to another application to burn to DVD.

Plenty of online guides telling you how to go about this- google is your friend!

I took a unit straight out of the box and plugged it into one of our company PCs, after installing the software from the mini CD.

Although we didn't have the memory card installed, all the software immediately recognised the camera and we were able to see live views of the warehouse.
Conclusion is there is some incompatibility on Mark's machine if he can't install the supplied program, perhaps.
Stop messing about - just get a Sub-driver!

If you move that camera back so that rear of the camera touches the front of the sail, you will cut down on drag quite a bit I reckon.

Both of the computers that I used are stage 2 Windows XP so it is an older system. But I definately got it to work using the SD card adapter. Ill be posting trial video later today. I am quite pleased with it.

This thing is great! These are test videos that I ran Sunday. In the summer, with the brighter sun , there will be much more to see underwater. That with some software Ill make some good videos. A nice trip around the lake. Oh and by the way, it has sound. So be careful what you say. Also the date is wrong. Ill have to try again to use the cd that came with it to fix the time diplayed very prominantly on the screen.

Here is the second in the series. I didnt realize until watching this that the Oscar is leaning to one side a little. Ill have to get that adjusted. This one is with the camera mounted behind the sail.

The last one in the series is taken showing the stern. At one point it looked like it was going fast enough to pull skiers. Good views.

Here you can see the various mounting locations that I used for the bow shot, the sail shot and the over the stern shot.

If you can get one or two others along, you can track one another underwater with the cameras. I find that makes for the most interesting looking footage.

I agree. Some of the most stunning u/w model r/c submarine footage I've seen is that featuring Andy and his mob chasing each other around with cameras mounted atop their submarines -- Red October quality stuff, some of it!

                        David,

All my machines are Macs, and I can't read the CD. If you can pull a text file off and email it to me I'll see what I can get done.

Going by the English instructions here-

The CD contains drivers for webcam mode, which I would think you're unlikely to use.

There are also instructions for setting the date and time, but unfortunately nothing about switching off the time altogether, so you may have to live with that.

Mike, The instructions say: 1. Use the time adjust tools on the CD
                                2. Establish a document on the U-disk (time.txt)
                                3. connect with computer, open U-disk
                                4. establish a document (time.txt)
                                5. write in time in the document
                                6. disconnect machine

Seems very vague and non descript. Maybe you can figure it out.
