    Virginia class anechoic tile problem

Each Virginia class submarine costs in the neighborhood of 2 Billion dollars to build. On many patrols some of the earlier boats were returning to base with whole sheets of there anechoic coating missing. The problem was traced to bad surface prep. Since then none of the newer constructed boats have had this problem.

Nice reference photo for weather scum line. How come there's a scum line where the tiles use to be?
Make it simple, make strong, make it work!
