This is a good kit and a good price!

More Type 23's Geeeze. Sub looks like a fallen over water heater. Seems alot of Type 2s starting to pop up. Why not one of those instead?

          Steve,

I would kill for a 1/72 or 1/96 Type-2. Any suggestions? Yeah... the Type-23 is butt-ugly but runs great and is a quick kit to assemble.

I have one. It’s a small-ish kit. There are a couple Type II 1/32 scale boats out there. Dwayne Hill just built one and put it in the water just recently.

Two new hot kits hulls that would be hot to develop would be a 1/32 scale Type II, and a 1/48 Skate SSN.

Dave, I don’t think the 23 is butt ugly, as a matter fact I think it’s kind of slimline cool looking,

CGmorph on cgtrader has files for a nice Type IIb in 1/32 scale (58 inches long). Print it in the scale you want.
RC version is added as Rcversion.zip file
It contains hull parts with all slots open, dive fins and hull have 3mm holes for fittings. Prints nicely, cost is $34.30 for the stl file right now.

OTW have had a kit available for some years. A very nice model if you like this boat at 1/32.

A 3D printed version is likely to have a lot more volume above the waterline, something to consider for a working model. Also a GRP hull will be much tougher.
