My reading takes me all over the place. Including Surface at the Pole. Capt. Anderson gets a bit long winded, but over all it’s a good book about the Nautilus’ failure and triumph.

Of the 40,000 men who served on German submarines, 30,000 never returned.”

      Mr. Merriman,

How would one persuade you to allow them to see your drawings to create 3d files for one of those spawn of Satan machines?

      Respectfully,

        Randy,

As noted above the USS Sargo webpage has a basic set of drawings, including sections and internal external profiles. Here is the direct link to the page

These are probably a good starting point for constructing a model, taking into account any distortion from when they were scanned. This is apparent on some of the drawings, so it is always good to try to identify what are the most accurate reference lines on the drawing for model and adjusting the section positions and dimensions accordingly.

Hopefully David has more detailed data to help with the model.

          This is how:

          1. you return the package to me complete with my originals, not copies, once done with it.

          2. you consider producing and sending me model parts so I can cobble them together into proper masters from which GRP tooling can be derived

          3. I acquire unrestricted private and commercial use of all model kits, produced from that tooling. That agreement, if made, in written form.

I'll need your complete mailing address -- send it to me at my e-mail address, if you wish. dmeriman@aol.com
