    Hot Glue Will Not Stick To:

    I like hot glue. I was wanting to use it while rebuilding my electronics tray after my cylinder flooded in Georgia. However, after trying to glue the several things like the BEC, Pitch Control, and BLM, all with plastic covers, I have found HG won’t stick to:
    • Silicone
    • Some Plastics like polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP)
    ​I guess it’s back to two sided tape and zip ties.
    Of the approximately 40,000 men who served on U-boats in WWII, it is estimated that around 28,000 to 30,000 lost their lives.

      I like RTV gasket rubber (blue stuff). It sticks and has good grip on parts. Although double sided tape and zip ties work too!
      If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

              If you rough up the heat shrink with some coarse sandpaper, it helps stuff stick to them a lot better...

                      My experience is that hot glue works really well for a while and then hardens up so much that it doesn’t stick to anything, simply breaks off. Won’t use it.
