OK, Your SD, the one you sent me for repair is a screaming pile of ****! There are many fatigue cracks in the cylinder, some bridge the internal bulkhead seals, causing leaking; that motor-bulkhead has been glued, screwed, and just plain abused to the point of uselessness. Why the **** would you glue the pushrod(s) to their respective seal bodies???!@!!!!!

Since what you sent me is so ****ed up, I made you a new one. Going out today. Live long and prosper, and all that happy horse-****.

In the future, you -- and those reading this ass-kicking -- If you have a problem with the new unit, something I produced and sold in working order, post your problem(s) here first so I can guide you so you don't screw things up.

David, just to clarify, it is the Stern endcap which fails.

The one with the attached motor? That's the motor bulkhead. Send it along too.

So I still have a leak thru my bow endcap where water is getting past the O Ring. I sent it to Bob and he replaced the O Ring and added 3 wraps of teflon under it. I am not happy as it is again leaking. Maybe I need a thicker O Ring? The teflon tape is a pain and it just seems like there should be a more suitable fix. I have gone to sealing the endcap with Gasket Maker which works. If I need to access the electronics I can carefully use a hobby knife to cut the sealant at the cylinder union with the cap. Any ideas?

Gut the electronics (keep the motor-bulkhead and it's attached devices there) and send me the cylinder with the offending bow bulkhead.

Any pointers on:
1.) Best way to attach tubing to above mini pump to ensure it stays connected?
2.) Best way to replace a bulkhead O Ring and apply silicone grease?

1.) Use flexible 1/16" i.d. silicon tubing and squeez it onto the pump nipple.
2.) Unscrew the fasteners holding the bulkhead within the cylinder; remove attached devices from bulkhead; pull the bulkhead and swap the O-ring; coat the inside of the cylinder with spray silicon, slide in the bulkhead and make fast with machine screws.
3.) Sing my praises!
