The last few times I've fired up my Subdriver, the servos for the rudder and aft planes chatter. All batteries are freshly charged. What causes this and how can I fix it?
The last few times I've fired up my Subdriver, the servos for the rudder and aft planes chatter. All batteries are freshly charged. What causes this and how can I fix it?
I get that often in my shop during bench testing. In my case (not necessarily yours), it's because the cylinder doesn't like being too close to the transmitter. Once I move a few feet away, the jittering stops, and it also stops when I get the model outside and into the water.
Have you tried moving away from the cylinder with the radio? Does this happen outside when you're a ways away?
Since I am a stubborn person (my wife would agree) I decided to try my old radio (HiTec Laser 4) and the SL8 RX. It now works without any chattering. I have discovered that RC electronics operate with F.M. F.M.? In the early 1980’s as a young police officer, we started using computers for report writing. When I asked the LT how the reports are uploaded to our database, he said it was F.M. When I inquired what that meant, he said “Fu#$ing Magic! So now, that’s my explanation for RC sub electronics!
