    Identify kit manufacturer?

    Good morning, all!

I ended up with this really slick boat and would love to see if anyone knows who made it. My preliminary research is drawing up a blank. She appears to have been modeled after HSwMS Sjöhunden (Shu), of the Swedish navy. The model is 41.5" OAL, making it 1/48th scale.

Anyone have any idea where it might have come from? There is a document that came with it that shows a SubCommittee article from a Mr. Tom Anderson. I'm not sure if he was a builder, or the kit manufacturer.

It came with a really slick gas ballast system. I'm just finished fully refurbishing the cylinder and trimming her out. I'll have it for sale by the end of the week.

    Bob,
I have a sister ship and can share more a little later. Got to get ready for work. Tom Anderson and Will Oudmayer worked together building these. there is one other involved and i am having a mind fart at the moment. It will come to me.
    Peace,
    tom
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

          Thanks so much!

I just had her in the pool a few hours ago. What a fun boat! Not a drip in the cylinder and she turns on a dime!

Oh I love my Sjöormen! Here is my son Sam running mine. He was practicing his maneuvers along with Will Oudmayer's Skipjack.

                Hello Bob,

The Sjormen class SSK is a cool little sub and the most maneauvreable sub I’ve ever built. Turns on a dime, but you already know that. I built this one about 15 years ago.
As for the one you have ,yes I think it’s a Will Oudmeyer job.

I believe ‘Sjormen’ is pronounced ‘Kwe-ueermen’

This boat is modelled on ‘Sjohasten’. ( ‘sea hound’ I think)
