Looked at HNSBN's pile of cat carriers in a test post, and was impressed and puzzeled. Had to study the picture up close to figure out what I saw. Looked at the Outback take away (to guage size) got distracted and went out to dinner (not Outback, 28 mile drive) Came home and was looking at the picture again and my wife Kim, was looking over my shoulder to make sure I wasnt clicking on a "Buy it Now". She says, "Your buddy has lots of cats?" I blew my drink out my nose,...with the straw and some ice. I told her they were for boats. She said, "Dont buy them, Ill let you use a couple of ours" Had to go to bed.after that. BUT! that little episode came up in the dream I had about using a Bug out box. Milspec mini container made by the Anvil Case company for delicate equipment transport. This morning I looked at my Anvil acustic guitar case and the light bulb went off.

The Navy case is a tad expensive, My Anvil acustic guitar case runs around 400 bucks but the inside is made spacificlly for my guitar. Up goes my Pirate flag boys, Ace hardware, angle aluminium, Pop rivets and gun for the edges and frame,2 4x4 1/4" PVC boards one piano hinge. Cool thing is, Anvill sells the hardware latches and retractable handles seperately, if you like that style, sunken flush for stacking. Looks like around a hundred bucks of stuff and some drill press time to me. The inside design would be compartmental to the particular model or multiple models.Beats the hell out of the old shoeshine box, I had for the RC airplanes battery and glofuel cans broken props and rags in that stinky old thang. Another project?? may beComment

I've taken to liking the "pick and pluck" Pelican cases. They're expensive, but high quality. Here is one that I've used for my 77th Scale Nautilus builds. I've got a big one in queue for carrying my 32nd scale Type VII as well...1 PhotoComment

that's real nice, my 1/32 type VII is really too big for any case. A stand in my truck bed was the best I could do.. It only has to be carried to the dock from where it sits in the house. About 15 feet out the double doors on the back porch . High tide at the dock is Just a few inches below the deck,Comment
