Actually, I suspect there may be other factors at work as well.

If this had been a 2.5" SD I could not have done this as my hand barely fit into the 3.5" version. I guess I would have to remove the bulkhead to do the fix. But for now, I press on.

I hope to post pictures of the completed 3.5" SAS SD soon.
