Snorkel valve for pump ballast boats (Nautilus Drydocks product)

Would be interesting to hear about how well this works out replacing the foam type that David made. I do not have a snorkel in my Marlin, I have limited space in the sail for a foam snorkel. Perhaps this would work in my Marlin? Anyone?

I don't think that will work right with such a system, you need something that can seal off completely with the air based system. Something you could use is a solenoid or servo controlled valve, in a nutshell an active snorkel rather than a passive one. That item can be located inside the wtc.
