When I post at that other site, I copy paste the entire thing over here. It's a great way to keep our forums filled with content. I will take a look at sub.com so I can compare my ugly boats with yours....Many of mine are still on the shelf too.

I limit build threads to one forum now, along with updates on the Dive-in Facebook page. This cuts down on having to answer the same questions in triplicate. I have posted build threads on the yellow sub and the miniature Delphin over on SubCom. Also there is the BCI Nautilus and K250 P-sub, which don't have build threads but perhaps could do with something posting up about them. I don't claim to be a prolific builder, but I prefer to build from scratch and the subjects I choose are often challenging with little or no previous builds to compare with. Also like many modellers, you sometimes hit a brick wall with a project and have to put it up on a shelf for a while until you can think up a solution or one presents itself.

Trust me, Andy's Certifiable nuts. You, Darrin, are Hog wild-dangerous-certifiable nuts.

    There.

    Clear?

You two should post your past and current works here. I'll determine who's king of the nut-jobs. How bout it, guys?

Yes. Bending those brass control rods to fit inside the stern cone is a pain in the ass!

Got the appendages cast up and the initial keel built. Plan is to hollow the keel out and fill it with lead to offset the large snorkel. I have a piece of streamlined aluminum on its way and will construct its base then. Size of this boat is really cool. A 3" tube will fit if I can get the linkages flush to the hull. If not, I will go with 2.75". I plan to turn them out of gray PVC.

Started this project while I am waiting for parts to arrive on the Nacken. It is also a nice break from that monster.

You could tow it behind your destroyer like a paravane.

    Very cool!!

one of my TF72 clubmates has a 1/72 Arleigh Burke USS Pinckney DDG-91 with a non working RMS in the side hanger. (How cool would a 1/72 RMS be!!)
