The "Brass Bass" Steampunk display model in 1/32 scale

If you check out this thread: http://forum.sub-driver.com/showthre...fish-Kit-Build you can see the base kit that I got from these talented builders. Immediately after I saw their postings I knew what I would do with a kit, and after I inquired and settled on a price, I ended up with one of their kits a short time later.

Fast forward and I've just managed to complete the build. These are some "in-shop" shots, and I hope to do some beauty shots in the next short while along with a video, but for now I wanted to share what I had.

Here are some of the features that I built into the model:

    -fully actuating forward fins
    -articulating rudder
    -moveable propellers
-opening "Mouth" which is the access ramp for the salvage diver
    -working iris portal airlock
    -fully detailed wheelhouse
    -fully detailed airlock
    -LED lighting
-easily separating hull halves for access for maintenance and batteries
    -working upper hatch

    I hope you enjoy!

I have more photos on my site at http://rc-sub.com/projects/viewproject.php5?id=60

What knocked me to the floor was the bucket next to the water-tight door. It's often the 'little things' that breath life into a subject. What an imaginative alternation to an already far-flung subject. Well done, sir! You never cease to teach and entertain.

A lot of fantastic detailing in that! Bob, the only thing missing is it being able to be put in water. I am so amazed at how this looks and really bring out the steam punk feel. Great work!
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Bravo Zulu. outstanding craftsman ship and enginearing. I would love to have a full scale Goliath grouper (Jewfish) to deploy in a few of my secret fishing holes here in the Keys. Some get up over 500 lbs. One like that could hold one or two people.Click image for larger version
