Look forward to the build! So, what you are showing us is, the parts that you made the molds of and cast? The head and body are hollow, was that done by slush casting it?
        Peace and Cheers,
        Tom
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

            Hey Tom

What you see are the contents of the kit.

The head was slush moulded with Fast cast poly resin then backed up with fibreglass matting to keep its strength, The back was done the conventional way, All the little bits are fast cast resin.

What prompted the use of PU resin on the head instead of the P38 filler and polyester resin mix.

As technical support on this project I will answer for Linda in this instance.

As you know when casting into silicone mould with a polyester based resin it will come out tacky, on a smooth subject this would be easy to fix by wet and drying the surface.
In the case of the Head it has the dimpled texture which would prove difficult to do this with. So I thought a thin PU layer with a backing of glass and Matt, Worked out a treat:biggrin:

Graupner mini jet is the current thinking because of its relatively small size and high output.

Just how big is this beastie? Its hard to tell scale from the photos, but I'm guessing at around 16" overall maybe?
