Im in the process of painting on the frame that goes around the bridge spray shield. Im taking my time with it, making sure the paint is good and dry before moving on to the next segment, one section at a time. There are three sections, i did the second one today. Hopefully the final one on Wednesday. Then all we need is to spray on some clear flat and GO SAILING!

Unfortunately our new format wont allow me to upload pictures. So I guess we will have to wait.

Yesterday I taped off the" Bridge Spray Shield Damnit". What an unusual name for a couple of pieces of curved Lexan. Anyway, ........I had an Epiphany. I had on hand some Tamiya Champagne Gold. Mostly silver with a hint of gold. Im trying to represent the clear lexan windows that have been tarnished and clouded over time and salt water drenching s. The spray test looked promising. well it looks like silver to me. At anyrate maybe the flat clear will tone it down. Im going to use light grey to represent the frame. A little at a time. I dont want any peeling.

Perfect, Dave. We'll add the term to the official submarine lexicon.

Yep............thats the way it goes. Ill always be assured of plenty of things to do because I cant seem to leave well enough alone. So as far as the Albacore work today, I added some weight and did a test and was not satisfied, so I added some more until I could see a major amount of improvement. You still cant slam on the gas, but if you are reasonable about power application, it wont be a problem, especially in the submerged condition. Also, historically I have always had this sub setup "in the wild". Now Ive got it setup more conservatively. So we are Happy with the trim. Next week we will look at doing some painting and some LED work.
