Look at the size of his transmitter. I recall reading something about his sub having special features like a video camera in the sail, passive sonar and autonomous cruise control.
Clear resin also "likes" heat treatment to get to its full specs on hardness.
That applies to most resins, especially polyurethanes. they tend to become much stronger with post curing treatment, but generally you don't need to for model use.
