      Project 658?
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

“In April 2000, Acting President Putin stayed on board overnight at a depth of 50 meters, observing fleet exercises and participating in Russian submariner custom of drinking seawater. “. Well I guess that’s one way of dealing with leaks....

                    Hello all,

Here are are some pics showing the internal layout of Papa. I have left the outer cylinder off for clarity. The dive model is one unit without internal partitions. The Ballast tank is immediately in front of the
ballast tank pump which is on the front outer wall of the forward end cap. Forward of all of this is a 12 v SLA battery. Then lots of buoyancy foam. Immediately behind the front servo just behind the forward end cap is the break that allows me to pull the front off from the back. You can see a break in the tray where this occurs. I have also designed the electrical set up so that it 'auto connects.' (5 brass pins) I slide in either end and the plugs mate as you push the unit to close. I only have to tighten four nuts and attach the nitro line coming out of the forward ballast tank pinch to the ballast tank in front of it.
