Don't know where you guys dig up these photos. I always have a hard time finding good up close photos. What I really need if any of you have are up close deck photos for a Echo II. Going to do that one soon.
(and like the Type-21 g I think those stabelizers are symetrical.......please see the pictures below.......they are not widly spread on the WWW.......guys in the black limo in my sreet will go nuts.rand-daddy of this design I see that the two shafts will put the intersection of their thrust lines behind the boats center of gravity. Damn!)
Think you are right foil-section is not symmetrical.......think the bottom is flatter.......does that make sence?
Please see the pictures below.......they are not widely spread on the WWW.......those guy’s in the black limo in my street will go nuts.
First 2 are screenshots from a video
From the 4 others I adjusted te brightness and contrast to light up the contours.
Something on the torpedo tubes and sonar
. my first pictue was too big. This one is more convenient.
You might have this one.
A comment. It seems that K-3 that was (if I am correct) retrofitted with the "balcony" type sonar got a smaller one than later boats.
Can anyone comment on that?
You mean those stabilizer’s with integrated prop shafts? (yes I know there are dumb questions)
Grtz,
Bart
Yes. I should have made that clear.
(and like the Type-21 grand-daddy of this design I see that the two shafts will put the intersection of their thrust lines behind the boats center of gravity. Damn!)
No, I do not (I do now!). Thank you, Tirfing -- solid gold. I knew the foil-section of those two horizontal stabilizers could not be symmetrical! Do you know which face has the flat surface and which the curved (Clark-Y looking foil section). Quality stuff here, sir. That sail shot is so rich in detail.
And Bart. Wonderful full-on shot of that old beast. Inspirational and useful.
All this good dope will have to be put to use.

..and as a last piece this evening (SE time) I would like to present the November as a Music video. It is a Youtube composition by somebody.
A bit Depeche actually. Here it is.
