Blueback. Seriously it is a Blueback this time.

This is the start of the Blueback build. So far I have degreased and sanded all of the bits, pickled the white metal and done a test fit of the rear control surfaces. Oh, and I read the instructions!

I beg to differ. It's not "instructions" it's "destructions"

"theybare"??? sounds like something Grizzly Adams would say, "Theybare is coming to chew a big piece out of your arse". Perhaps "they are" would have been better.

The tail cone is now fitted. Its held in place with three stainless steel screws and CA glue. Solid!

Some photographs taken before I had to go and do some work. Work! The curse of the drinking class.

Mighty fine looking. Now you can sneek up on the ducks at the local pond and rub their bellys with your periscope.
On second thought.......maybe thats not such a good idea.

Not sure that its strictly legal down here to have your way with ducks!

Over here we administer duck-periscope-rectal exams.

That's why I make the scope tubes from aluminum tube: easier to replace a scope than to have a sail torn off by a very, very surprised water foul. PETA be damned!

... whatever it takes to make our patrol areas duck-free zones.

Its amazing to me how they know that a sub is at their six. Without dunking their head underwater, there is no way they can see it. They must feel the vibrations. Maybe they think its an Aligator
