    1/96 torpedoes possible?

Hi all! First post, so apologies if this is a noob question.

We've got a scratchbuilt 1/96 Virginia-class boat that's in need of some armament. We've been considering a VLS Tomahawk system, but then came across the torpedoes forum here and are elated that there's so much in the way of resources! Only problem is, there only seem to be posts for 1/72 and larger ... is that the threshold for scale torpedo manufacture?

    Great to be here.

Lets use a 25' long torpedo as an example.

    25' x 12" = 300"

At 1:72 scale that equates to a model length of 300/72 = 4.16"

At 1:96 scale = 300/96 = 3.125" Can you manage with that size?

Our next project is the 1:32 scale system but it won't be available until well into next year, so I envisage the 1:96 being a year away.

All that makes sense - that size would be just fine with us; we don't have any experience with scale torpedoes ... yet. Will follow the existing builds with interest!
