My 1/72 scale build of HMS Conqueror "Conks" (utilising and modifying the OTW excellent Valiant hull) has had her maiden voyage on Saturday 10th April 2021 at the 25th Anniversary Regatta of Task Force 72 - to which I am a plank owner.

A good friend captured this video and the sent me stills of Conks. This is a surface launch of her upper stb side tube. The bow openings on Conks are 1/72 scale - in keeping in scale fidelity of the boat. However, I am using R&R Model Engineering torpedoes which are substantially larger. Having used David's excellent 1/72 fish - what seems like a lifetime ago- I am now enjoying the bigger fish being easier to see in the water and affording excellent run time / distance.
