    Linear Servos

You might never need a linear servo with travel of over 50mm but if you do.... http://store.firgelli.com/

Be sure to get the model designed for RC. The L12R has a standard three wire plug. Some of the other ones look like they only have two wires.
The L12-R is a receiver ready linear servo available in 9 models. 3 strokes of 30mm, 50mm and 100mm, coupled with gear ratios of 50:1, 100:1 and 210:1 cover a large variety of applications.

They are nice. Used one to move the snorkels on my U-1: http://s1262.photobucket.com/user/Ma...cc578.mp4.html

That's a great build. How did you waterproof the servo lead and plug?

As a feedthrough for the watertight servo box I use a compression gland with 3 mm inner diameter. I took three pins of insulation coated wire and glued those into a 3 mm brass tube. This connector tube goes into the compression gland. The servo cable is cut and soldered to the pins. On the water side I soldeerd three wires and sealed everything with epoxy. The in-water connector is an AMP superseal three pin connector:
