    ALFA Being Decommisioned

Check out my Alfa Overhaul thread from the 2013 Build A Boat Competition to see how the Alfa arrived in this condition. Then imagine the fun you will have running this boat in your pool or pond. I hate to let it go but realize I'm not in a position to run it myself due to other priorities. So, I offer it for 200 USD plus shipping in the US. What you see in the Alfa Overhaul is what you get ( upper/lower hulls, linkages, shaft, prop). Add your sub driver and you will be ready to go.

And a very good looking job you did on it.

May I recommend you jack up the asking price.

Well that's an interesting recommendation. I'd be very happy to get more for the Alfa if someone wanted to pay more. How about $350 via PayPal and I'll include the packing and shipping? If someone is interested, let's talk.

          John,

Alfa is 1/96 scale, same as the Victor III that I let go a month or so ago. A bit of history for the Alfa. It is one of Lee Upshaw's boats that a fellow in Canada bought years ago. For some reason he couldn't complete it so he sold it to me. I ran it as a dynamic diver, what a fun boat to run. But I haven't run it since I did the overhaul in last year's competition. I suppose I could set it up as a display model along with my Blueback, Sturgeon, Will Rogers (all scratch built) and my Thor Permit but I'm running out of room. So hopefully someone out there will enjoy running the Alfa as much as I did. Anyhow, that's the history behind it.
