Any Sheerline 1/64 scale Trafalgar hulls unbuilt for sale? Really just need the top and bottom hull parts.

If I find on estate sale or such, would shorten 1.5 inches mid ships, make new sail (fin), (photos) and stern planes for a Pump jet Swiftsure class. Seems Beck who bought Sheerline hasn't made sub hulls in years now.

wood pattern for new Sheer line 'fin' Sail.

They do pop up for sale from time to time, but usually as a complete model with the dive unit, so usually you will have to buy that and sell the module on if it's not your cup of tea.

Alternative- 3d file available in a smaller scale, enlarge and print your hull? https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/...le-model-1-350

Thank you Subculture. That is my strategy / plan / expectation too. I have plenty on my plate, finishing French Suffren, printed a Rubis SSN (Perle) for building next also in 1/64. Will keep eyes out for a Trafalgar. I had a Sheer line Trafalgar once but forced to sell it to pay mortgage once. It all worked out but miss it. So, I remember how detailed the anti- echoic tiles were and how robust the hull was.

I’ve seen that boat as you sold it to a chap here in the UK who finished it off. There’s a video of it on YouTube at one of the pool based events I ran years ago.

I remember seeing this video years ago. It was difficult to watch then because I really hated ot part with her. I was upset the British customs reportedly severely damaged the model and the chap had ot rebuild it which upset me as well, those *******s.

That model uses the new fin sail pattern I molded in the photos above. The sheerline kit fin sail was terrible compared in contrast to the hull which was excellent.

One thing I planned for this model I never was able to carry out which I think would have been cool was to add tiny water misters you get at the hardware stores that mist you when around the pool or when entering a store on a hot day. They were cheap and actually looked the perfect scale size and shape of MBT vents on the casing. I see he used them on the finished model, since I sent them the misters too, . I was going to add an extra radio channel and a separate second propel air brush propellent tank we used then for blowing ballast tanks to spray propel into the air making fog geysers as she dived as an extra visual show.

I cut out the bow flank arrays and made new ones to make the chines of the anti echoic tiles more prominmate.

The horizontal stern planes are partially accurate, the leading-edge reactor cooling intakes are correct, but my interpretation of the reactor cooling exits in the stern plane tips behind look cool but not sure of accuracy, but they we sensitive so it was a good guess.

I hope the fellow is still enjoying her today. I remember he emailed me back with a very rude message about not finishing her which was strange I remember. He seemed very arrogant. WTF.

Misters like these below are like around $11.00 for 20 on Amazon.

If we're talking about the same chap, then your experience somewhat differs to my own. The model was fitted out with a scratchbuilt WTC incorporating a pair of Engel piston tanks. Worked very well, although i think he felt it was little slower than he wished. Only saw it used this one time.

I had my own WTC system not sheerlines or his. The misters would be for special effects not operating mission critical feature.
