    leaking pushrod seal

    David,

I have a leak in the bow plane pushrod seal on my VIIC Subdriver. I have a spare seal and would like to know the best way of removing the old seal and installing the new seal without causing any damage.

    Regards,

    Myron

Remove the retaining screw from the servo bell-crank, pull the bell-crank off the servo. Disconnect the pushrod and pull that pushrod out of the seal. From the inside push the leaving seal body aft -- it's secured with RTV silicon adhesive, so it won't put up much of a fight. Install with RTV the replacement seal, let dry, then make up the pushrod and test.

    David,
