Bacardi Silver, a 38 ft offshore catamaran just set a new world speed record at 202 MPH on a closed course. This is not a twin turbine boat but a twin engine gasoline powered piston engined boat. Two 1500 hp Sterling engines and two huge cleaver props push her along. Try putting a torpedo in that. Two years ago this boat was still top dog in running 185 Mph compared to 200 MPH for the turbines. There catching up!
