Howdy Bruce. Been admiring your work over on RCG & glad to see you make a post over here. Excellent work!!! Have always had a fondness for Long Beach after having built the old Revell kit when I was a kid.

You are dedicated, Bruce! No matter the weather (like in the rain in the 6th picture) you are commanding your ships. Outstanding work sir! Glad you are here. Look forward to seeing more of your work.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

        Thanks Guys,

Yeah the pic with LB in the rain was back in June we had thick fog in the morning (See pic) and then a steady light rain in the afternoon, there was no wind at all. The only water that got in the ships was when it came time to pack up!!

        Cheers Bruce

PS I have also had CGN9 on real ocean (well a sheltered bay called "The Bay of the Shoals" on Kangaroo Island near my Dads place (see last 2 pic)

We had a bit of run at a new spot with a tall arched footbridge across it, got some sweet pics!

HMAS Sydney even test fired some missiles...

Shed tidy up last weekend, had the ships out on the back lawn while I mucked about sorting the shed out......4hours later (and full rubbish bin) can't see no difference!

the workshop has been busy since the last photos....I briefly owned a 1/72 WWII battleship! King George V class (Duke of York) that was sold to pay for car repairs!! but built a TARAWA class LHA USS Saipan to replace it (construction continues slowly) and have started a Flight I Arliegh Burke and just arrived is the hull for USS Albany CG10 (next summers project...)

From these pictures posted back in April, there is a submarine in there that Im trying to figure out what it is. Is that a Sturgeon class?

Pictures from yesterday are small, these are much bigger with some new ones thrown in. I did notice on that submarine that the sail seemed to be quite close to the bow, as in the Permit/Thresher, but could not be sure. Looks like you have a very motivated and active group with you there. Quite a variety of ships, including an aircraft carrier in the making.
