Selecting a motor for a 37.5" OAL Destroyer Escort (Cold War era)

    Gents,

Trying to determine what's a good motor to use for the above hull. The 1:1 scale ship carried a single screw, which by notes a 1.5" diameter has been found to be ok. Not sure if it should be a 4 or 5 blade, though. I have several different motors to choose from. I have a couple of Graupner Speed 500s, one with a gear reduction, several Speed 400s, most with reduction, a smaller Pittman (6V?) in great condition, and a butt-ton of smaller Johnsons, some with reduction. I don't need this thing to be a drag racer, but would rather have good, reliable performance, with get-up-and-go when required, like when HWSNBN is setting up a torpedo approach on me!

    TIA,

    Bill
