Back in March I started a thread 'Air pump questions'. After several useful responses, I ordered two diaphragm pumps and a peristaltic pump. We've got the diaphragm pumps working and are now looking at the peristaltic pump. We tested it by driving it with a variable-speed hand drill at ~200 rpm and it seems quite promising, but we haven't yet located a small DC motor to drive it. We tried a 12-VDC motor with a 10:1 gear and the speed seemed about right but there wasn't enough torque. Does anyone have any concrete suggestions? How would this be used in a model sub?
