    Weird Futaba Port

I have found a Futaba FP-T8UAF with a frequency module port on the back that is much smaller than the average port. It currently ha s a SPECTRA module in it currently for 27Mhz.
Does this mean it takes the modules from the smaller Pistol Grip Futabas??
    I will post pics later

    SPECTRA module, is from Hitec.
should works with all hitec and older (not the frist gold FG) futaba module. Also after market 2.4GHz module. Corona still makes a new one.
if you want a real 75MHz module you could got one off from car radio.
    module harvest.

give it a try. Needs a new 75 crystal.

Have not check this new old stock come with a module.

    Crystal for Hitec Tx.

used Futaba is over price. only Old top of the line Magnum transmitter use rf module.

Tested with a novak synthesized module, got it working but can't jam it into the bay all the way, with out damage. Pins are in the way.
going to distort a older hitec, see if it seat in batter, so close. Or cut up a module case and stuff it in.

    Still over price

That's what I have. Needed a range test bad. Just could walk again. May be I do one later.

Working good with my Frankenstein transmitter. I can use Futaba, Hitec, GWS , JR,Airtronics and others receiver.
used a "jumper cable" tested on a optic 6, OK.
started the stuffing on a older Hitec.

have to dig out a old futaba with a RF bay. To do a quick test.

tested with some low end Futaba at the trainer port, some doesn't work.
If you want to i could make or show you how to make a test cable.
Depends on the radio it could be one way trip to junkyard.

          OK.
Dig out the old Futada, is a FP-T7UAF almost the same one you have.
No, doesn't works, changed the single to (+) , now works with JR Rx!
have to add a single inverter.
good news is, the stuffing should be not too hard, lined up nicely. Little cut in the back cover, replace the small connection pwb.

Other good news is the 2 hitec Prism 7, is working, reprogram the shift , it works with futaba Rx. And very easy to remove the old pins pwb, can be put it back with out damage.
will up date at 2.4GHz to 75MHz post.

Ok, so this is a pin for pin replacement, just have to move the little pc board inside the transmitter, and cut a new hole so the pins will line up??

Sorry no, not pin to pin.
the Novak doesn't read the single from futaba.
Working on a fix. But my electronics limited.
try to use 2 transistor to adjust the single. Works on breadboard, when I try to put it together it stop working.
              have to start over again.

So far I done was boost the PPM signal , now it is (+) shift, so invert the single back to (-) shift.
have order some parts, like a opp amp chip.
