    Trumpeter USS Seawolf Submarine

    Dear all,

I am interested in purchasing the Trumpeter USS Seawolf Submarine for RC purposes.

As I am new to this hobby, I am a little confused to what components do I actually need to complete the entire system.

Based on my understanding, I will need the following items:
    1. USS Seawolf Submarine Sub-driver (http://sub-driver.com/index.php/mode...ub-driver.html)
    2. Angle Driver (
    http://sub-driver.com/index.php/pitch-controllers/the-adf-angle-driver-and-failsafe.html)
    3. Snort System (http://sub-driver.com/index.php/acce...rt-system.html)
    4. Radio Receiver & Transmitter
    5. LiPo Battery
    6. LiPo Guard

Am I going on the right path here? As for points 4 to 6, which component from sub-driver.com will actually be suitable for such a set up?

I hope you guys will be able to advise.

    Thank you.

I have a spare Trumpeter USS Seawolf and David's fittings kit if you need one. I'm in Hong Kong but could send to you if you would like to purchase? The fittings kit is necessary to make the static model into a R/C model.

Here is the LiPo Guard - http://sub-driver.com/index.php/elec...k-monitor.html
I did not find 4 or 5 on your list. My assumption is Sub-Driver is not carrying them any more. So, you can find them other places. The LiPo battery can be found at places like HobbyKing.com. The size of battery will depend on the space available and if it was designed for 7.4v or 11.1v (2 or 3 cell).
Where do you live? If USA, you will need to find a 75MHz radio.
I will do a little more research to see if I can find the battery recommended and dimensions.
      Peace,
      Tom
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

2S 1000mAh LiPo is a good size for KILO. The battery compartment is pretty short (70mm) so you'll have to shop carefully if you want to go to a larger capacity.
