    Vent holes

Hey everyone I'm finishing up the body work on my on my Revell Gato and have a question. Are vent holes necessary? I've cut flood vents to let water in but it doesn't appear that any other models have vent holes. Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance!

yes in the gato you will need to put some vent holes in the deck to release traped air . i did not want to do it but found it to be a necessity. let me know and i will post some pics of how and where i put them.a real gato has them all along the top deck from bow to stearn

Yes please do post pictures. I have a template for them but my gato will dive statically without vents.... I'm just worried about the pressure of the air pushing up on the deck.

        gato deck vents

it took just a few to do the job.it was the cut out under the sail that helped the most.
