Nothing says, 'crazy, stupid driver' louder than a spoiler on the pointy end of an air-boat, Mike!

Id agree with that. Actually , this is a Dumas Big Swamp Buggy. It was made for a .40 size engine. You see it here pictured with a Fox .74. So I dont think that it would surprise you that the first time out it literally flew into the air like an airplane, and then crashed. So the spoiler was one of the ways that I made it so that you could go all out and not fly.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

I had one of those, but silly me, I stuck a .40 on it. Still was a screamer. "here, ducky-ducky....".

Just came across this one and I need to put it somewhere. Notice the Classic, Take no prisoners Glare, the All Business, No Nonesence stare that is vital to model building. A composure indicative and exuding confidence, An internal knowledge that if it doesnt work out as planned, a square peg can be driven into a round hole ..................If you have enough force behind your swing. I dont know who this Imposing figure is but He looks like he can "GETER DUN! OH! Thats me. Brain fade for sure.Last edited by greenman407; 02-08-2015, 07:42 PM.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

The Wizard has his "Wizard Cave". I want a Wizards Cave. Oh well, this is the best I can do. This is the Nerve center(Im very Nervous)! The center of production, design and implementation for all of my goins on. Pitiful as it is, its all I got. Fortunately my Employer allows my a few perks, like working on my stuff at my shop at work(after work and on weekends). You can see the computer that I use to post stuff on here. Also the two desks that I work on stuff. If Im going to paint I just come out into the shop area, move some junk around and I can paint on top of the work bench. It works for me.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

I wouldnt want this to get out, but I do have other hobbys. Lately I have been working on this Rock Crawler. Its a Axial SCX10. Its a good buy but just like many others, after you get it you start investing in "upgrades". Like metal chassis parts, a 35 turn crawler motor, real liquid filled shocks, and taller and wider tires and wheels.

Also my other ground "Targets". Like the OFNA worlds GT .21 powered off road buggy. a Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec .20 powered 4 wheel drive on road car,a Tamiya GTP car powered by a 13 turn brushed motor. And finally the old Kyosho indy car powered by a 17 turn brushed motor and original Futaba ESC and 2 ch. AM pistol grip radio.

Man, I thought the jeep was real just looking at the first picture. In a concrete block garage, sitting on the biggest chunks of wood I ever saw. My boys and I had cars when they were growing up. Started with 4x4 electrics, fun but no balls, and constant battery charging. My youngest and I started fooling with gas motor viehicles. We were planning on a quarter scale NASCAR weed eater motor power car, but never got the project going. He enlisted in the Navy and had bigger fish to fry. That was 7 years ago. He's in NSW and just shipped over again.Comment

A recent acquisition for the Rock Crawler, the aformentioned 35 turn crawler motor. Its hand wound by "Team Brood" Heavy weight armature with heavy gauge wires and special magnets. Its supposed to be the Cats meow. We will find out soon enough.

Funny thing. Let me tell you about it. This rock crawler. I put a HEAVY DUTY steering servo in it with Titanium gears. It pulls a lot of power. So much so that while it was running , if you touched the steering wheel on the radio, everything would stop, like there was a power interruption to the radio. So, I took a Caswell 5amp BEC and plugged it into the batt. port on the receiver. There was some improvement but still not right. Then I got a Y harness and plugged the mega servo(HS-7955tg)into one side and the Caswell BEC into the otherside and plugged that into ch.1 for steering. WALLAH! problem no more, runs perfect. Whodathunkit?
I also pulled out the rear axle and replaced it with a front axle, so that I could steer the back as well as the front. This gives a lot of additional traction, so that If the rear wheels start to spin while climbing , you can turn the rear steering and the corner of the big knobby tires dig in and bite and away you go.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment
