I am Told that this is a Guppy

While out alligator blue fishing at the "Race" in Plum Gut on my Pop's Pacemaker in 1965 this guy blew past us-heading to Groton across the twin forks LI NY.
I am told its a Guppy...(Greater--Underwater-Propulsion-Power) program by my Quartermaster buddy sub Ed.

I had a day off the North Fork that I couldn't stop catching blues I volunteered to drive the boat after a few hours!! Nice pic.

We used to troll of Shagwong with monel line-the blues would be nice size and tough fishing-but jigging in 300ft of water from the bottom and hooking up with 15lb blues consistently was killer-of course in the race the boat is drifting at 7kts and you got a brake during the run back your drop point.-those were the days!
