I get all my tiny LEDs on evil bay from a ebay seller/store in Germany called 'ledbaron' very cheap prices too compared with regular hobby suppliers and electronics stores.

Here's my 1/72 MH60S Knighthawk (converted with parts from a SH60 and a Blackhawk kit) These LEDs are sized 1206 (meaning twelve thousanths of an inch! and come with fine wire attached) they make an old grain of wheat bulb or a 2mm led look like a balloon! These are the smallest I bought for heli/aircraft nav lights. I have to redo the chopper as I busted the fine wires attached to the LEDs...!

Twelve thousandths of an inch!!! The train guy sells quite small LEDs but not that small. The picos seen here are about .8mm.

oops I had the size led wrong the ones in the Mh60 are 402's (about 0.2 x0.8mm with very fine wires pre soldered) the 1206's are larger at about 3 x 1mm
