Hot Glue Wire Cover

I haven't tried this yet, but I plan to because I think this might make a good waterproof cover for a soldered/crimped connection. even if a remodel is necessary I think it has promise. Any thoughts on hot glue? Good? Bad?

I have not tried hot glue as a waterproof option, interesting idea. Need some testing.
