You might want to look up Jim Butt, not sure if he frequents this forum however he can be PM'ed on the Subcommittee forum as subdude and is the contact for SubComEast. Jim is also the organizer for monthly fun runs for scale boats and subs at the Shrewsbury YMCA Oct thru April. Also in the York area is Task Force 50 scale club which also holds monthly scale fun runs at a pond in York in June/JUly/Aug, sometimes there are subs but the last time I was there the visability was poor so not so great for subs. You can PM me if you need any emails or other information, although I can't attend the summer fun runs I will be at the YMCA this coming fall with a new sub. (and subfest this year)
I greatly appreciate the info!
I've heard a lot about subfest and I hope to join in the festivities, if time off work permits.
I just unboxed my first project, a German type VII. I know it's a lot to take on, and it does look intimidating, but I'm up for the challenge.
