          The Finnish I believe did that paintjob on a few type II's in the early-mid 30's And maybe the Dutch too. I think Vesikko was painted like that at some period also.

            There was a WW-2 movie, Murphy's War that had a boat (South American Oberon class?) dressed out in the splinter scheme -- weird.
