There's a reason, a good one, why the Russian's call the second-world-war, the Great Patriotic War, Rick.
Russia has a long history of being invaded and having to fight brutally to keep the wolf on the other side of the door. So, with them (unlike us, when oceans sufficed as an effective barrier against mass invasion) the tools of war were long the principle concern of the State. Not food.
(The systematic, well orchestrated starving of their own is another matter, outside the preview of this discussion).
The Soviets, and even the Russian's of today, are tough, smart, aggressive Son's Of *****es! Invading armies and brutal leadership has forged a force to be reckoned with.

My little 'funny' aside, I've always liked the lines of the NOVEMBER class submarines. First of the Soviet nuke's to sport the distinctive Malachite design bureaus 'sedan' shaped sails.
How about it, Rick? Once we get the FOXTROT out of our hair, you up to another cooperative model kit effort involving a Soviet, cold-war era submarine? I propose a 1/72 NOVEMBER kit. You wanna play too, Chuck?
Answer quick, before Mike wipes this thread!
