Traveling vagabond ... Indeed!
Up to you, of course, Kim, but would you consider informing the guys the name of this guy? And while you're at it, list his AND your movie-TV production credits.

It was in fact this movie, and the paint job on the miniatures that, so many decades ago, inspired me to investigate and practice the 'art' of paint weathering. Note the oil-canning effect on the super-tanker? Even then I well knew that I was looking at models, but marveled at how easily I could suspend disbelief because of the perfect weathering job painted on the subject -- Brian Johns and his kind were my professional inspirations.

That egg-drop shaped sub IS SOOO COOL. That's the stuff I like....WEIRD and wacky, altho the German and US subs have a elegance to them.
That MUST have been for a exhibit, movie, or a special one-off for someone....do you still have it???

Yeah, a static display-only model of the Bushnell, TURTLE from American War-of-Independence fame. One built for a museum, the other for a collector. The famous technical illustrator (if you read a Science or Mechanic Illustrated, you know his work), Frank Tinsley worked up the plans I worked from. Here's a good look at this man's great work:
