interesting RC system - perhaps overkill for subs?

Just came across this rather pricey RC system manufactured in my country (Australia).

For those who are more tech savvy is such a system a good long term buy cf with cheaper off the shelf products? Is it overkill for RC subs?

That looks like a real 'old school' set. Very reminiscent of Skyleader and Fleet units.

Quality of construction looks top notch. High quality epoxy glass PCB boards.

Welded seam case is a bit OTT IMO- looks like they've made this fit for the military. However a really nice quality product, that takes the best aspects of old radios, with the benefits of modern components.

This proves what I've have said before- when the big Japanese manufacturers discard the lower frequency radios, smaller companies will fill the void, so long as there is a market for such equipment. But it will probably cost more.

My only concern would be, is the TX compatible with other brands of receiver?

There not cheap cf regular off the shelf mass produced products- around $690A for the TX, the RX are around $150.

The supplier custom builds and does a lot of builds for industry and military RC requirements
