I puffed a battery once on my blade cx during flight, not during discharge. Best I can figure it was from not cutting throttle during a crash and the motors drawing to much current during a stall condition. Any way from what I have seen on youtube the puffing is the first step to a fire. If it happens immediately disconnect the battery and properly dispose of it. I like to cut the leads off and wrap the whole think in electrical tape to ensure it is not short circuited.
