I certainly hope you're not drinking Gin that look's like that! :D
A camera shows All, doesn't it.
Except for your great sub, that is. :o

Hey, If I Burn down my house and collect Insurance money, I would have the space and money to put in a nice Pool that size. ;)

              David,

This is my Take on a Revell Conversion, After looking through your original Cabals on the old SP site, I followed some of your ideas – drilling out the Prop frames, Losing the top weight & rigging the after control surfaces etc, I even stuck with the original Kit prop’s & threaded them.
The WTC is 80mm Lexan Tube with turned Resin End Caps & O rings.Decided to stick with what I know & went for a water tank system & screen washer pump, one thing I did was to put a small resvoir tank in the bow to increase the water capacity.
She’s powered by 2 200 motors which is way to powerful & a down grade will be on the refit list – linked up to an 8.4v Nicad pack , this powers the drive & the pump.
Both motors & Batteries are stored in the wet.
              All very simple really.
The waterline is a little low, but I can live with it for now, it is after all a Submarine – if I wanted a target I’d build one!
Biggest issue from initial runs, seems to Trapped air under the casing - more holes needed I think, possibly aft of the Deck Gun & behind the screen on the conning tower.

Nice work. You didn't overdo the weathering, I like that -- good ballance. How many seasons do you think you'll get out of the wet motors?

Thanks, I dont like "new" boats but it's easy to overdo the weathering, especially on later boats.

Ref: Motors, Depends really, I tend to run in fresh water & based on that I reckon 2 or 3 seasons as long as they get regular maintainence, they're stowed in 35mm film cannisters packed with grease & so far so good, I should think that running her in a chlorinated pool would shorten the life though. Not sure if it helps, but as a matter of course I run them up on the bench for a couple of minutes after a run - I reckon this helps expel any water & gives everything a good lube up.

LOL. Very well. As someone astutely pointed on on the SC site, "there is very little new under the sun".
