Dave Merriman question on Moebius Proteus

Dave are you involved in this project so they will make accommodations in this kit for RC?

I asked for test-shots. Nothing has showed up yet. We'll see. Other than that my involvement with this project is zero.

We need you involved. We have the need, the need for RC!

Well, as long as the upper and lower hull split equatorially, there will be little problem accessing the hull for inclusion of the control, ballast, and propulsion sub-systems.

I think I will make one big-ass centrifugal pump discharging through a four-way slide valve, the porting arranged to give differential, ahead, and astern water to the two 'nozzles' at the tips of the 'wings' and hidden nozzles set within the two 'intakes. The motor will be run at a rate proportionate to valve position -- likely mixed at the transmitter. We'll see about that.

Goff's 'rudder' won't work (why did this guy keep blanketing his control surfaces within wings and strakes?!!!). So, differential use of the nozzles will provide the needed yaw forces. The stern plane and bow planes will be practical -- though I don't see the bow planes having much useful moment when in use.

A small can of Bondo should do to get the gal's rack up to specifications.

However, if the model kit is big enough, I might try four of these things:

And the functional arrangement would be like this:
