He's over there getting X-ray poisoning and I'm working my ass off in a fume infested, OSHA condemned, hell-hole, sweat-shop, stuck with a shop assistant (child-labor law ... you kidding!?) who's idea of fun is tossing me charged electrolytic capacitors.

          Lovely!

          There is no God!

A favourite trick when I was a first year apprentice was heating up one pound coins under a blowlamp, and then strategically placing them so that someone might pick them up and burn their pinkies.

I like the way you think!

A variation, lets call it the 'stupid test'. I did this for real to fellow model builder, Dennis Allen:

I had just pulled out a tree of cast metal parts from a tool. Still holding them with a pair of tongs, Dennis barges into the shop to say hello. He asks, what's new, and I tell him not much, just production work. He looks at the almost glowing tree of parts I'm holding out for his inspection. He asks if he can hold it. What a dumb-ass! I say, 'Sure, Buddie!'. He grabs the tree with both hands from the tongs.

                    Fill in the blanks.

                    Life is good.

                    David,

If I shook your hand, would you have a lit cigarette hidden in your palm?

I know your type....maybe we should burn you on that pyre...but must you be dead first? Or can we make it a mercy killing?

I really liked the one with rough-seas (high-waves). We don't get to see great wave action often with our models. The U-boat handled it well. :)
