Considering its Australia, I cannot figure out why Shark Sheild is not MANDATORY....
It is used by Australian Elite Military, so maybe this was regular military? They are more expendable?
There was an incident where someone with a TURNED OFF Shark Shield was killed....the backlash of this one news story (that negleted to state the shield was OFF) made their sales drop by 2/3!Shark Shield is a unique shark deterrent system utilising a technologically advanced three dimensional electrical wave form. Shark Shield technology is available for recreational users and water sports professionals to help all people enjoy the water with a new dimension – peace of mind; for themselves, their families and employees.
Shark Shield was invented by the South African Government through the Natal Shark Board, home to some of the sharkiest waters in the world. It is used by the Australian Elite Military, the South African Navy the US Coast Guard and is also approved by NATO.
Shark Shield's can be used when participating in any ocean activities including surfing, bodyboarding, longboarding, snorkelling, scuba diving, free diving, spear fishing, commercial diving, kayaking, ocean swimming and boating or fishing.
Shark Shield's provide protection against all predatory shark species including Great Whites, Tigers, Zambezis (Bulls), Makos, Bronze Whalers, among others.
Our shark repellent products repel the sharks via an electric field that induces spasms in the sharks’ snouts. It does not attract sharks to the area or leave permanent damage to the animals, or harm the environment. Our products are proven to prevent shark attacks.
There is NO NEED for shark attack.
Not with Shark Shield.
I'll drink to THAT!Last edited by junglelord; 02-11-2009, 10:04 AM. -

Bull shark hell yeah
What you want is the oposite of shark shield. Take a 0.5L plastic water bottle, half fill with water and screw top down tight. Get into water where sharks are and scrunch the bottle Crack That WHip It apparently makes a sound like a fish dieing. But u gotta know when to stop. First time we tried it 2 grey reef sharks appeared seconds later, second scrunch and the pair of them turned in unison to face the person scrunching:eek:Next time someone points out it takes 42 muscles to frown, point out it will only take 4 muscles to b1tch slap them if they tell you how mnay muscles you need to smile:popComment

An update on my nation's Navy's diver.
He has lost his hand and may loose a leg.
He did so in defense of mine and my countrymen's freedom (albeit on exercise it does not matter)- I wish him well.
The Australian Navy and Government will look after him and his family.
