    Info on the I-53

Seeing that I have a running Scale Ship Yard I-19 , and also had a lindberg I-53 given to me recently my thoughts have turned to R/C ing this one , and I see Dave that you had put one together, is it a decent model to work with. Your comments are welcome.

      Bruce,
The Lindberg I-53 is well known not to be accurate to any sub. It can be R/C'd if accuracy is not important or it can be made into some other Japanese subs. We have a great build here:

This is an inspirational work in progress, but shoot, I do not care if you build it out of the box or want to make it accurate, you are welcome.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

So oztruck showed us all that nothing is imposible, with a little time and patience, he did an excellent job on his conversion, and appears to have a nice running boat, the I-19 in 1/48 is getting a little heavy and large to be carting around, thanks for your input and for giving me the place for the build on the forum, I'll be heading to Carmel for the regatta this weekend ( part of the Canadian Mafia ) LOL.

Have fun at the regatta! As Mark has asked, and I will beg, please take lots of pictures. For those that cannot make it, it is a joy to see others subs.
